Green Charge Networks, a provider of commercial energy storage, named Mark Triplett as COO. Triplett most recently led the demand response management systems line for Alstom Grid. Previously, Triplett was president of the Alstom-acquired UISOL Software.

Jonathan Levy, formerly the Deputy Chief of Staff at U.S. Department of Energy, has joined Vision Ridge Partners, an investment firm with a focus on sustainability, as director of policy and strategy.      

Clean Fund LLC, a provider of commercial PACE financing for energy efficiency and solar energy projects, hired Brandon Deno as VP of solar. Deno comes to Clean Fund after serving as sales director at AU Optronics, Taiwan’s largest PV module manufacturer.

Daintree Networks, a builder of open networked wireless controls for smart buildings, named Derek Proudian as chairman and CEO. He has held CEO roles at five VC-backed firms, including Zip2, which was acquired by Compaq for over $300 million. Danny Yu, the former CEO, will now head the firm's Operational Technologies business. 

OneEnergy Renewables, a developer of distributed, utility-scale renewable energy projects, named Arlo Corwin as chief development officer. Corwin joined OneEnergy following the firm’s acquisition of the development portfolio of ADVANCE Energy. Corwin was formerly president of Power Network New Mexico, a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs Infrastructure Partners.  

Yingli Green Energy Americas spun out an independent engineering services company, Amplify Energy, to address what the company’s CEO Brian Grenko called "an overlooked piece of asset management: performance monitoring." Grenko previously served as Yingli Americas’ VP of technology.  

MBA Polymers announced that Richard McCombs has returned to the company as CEO, and Mike Biddle, founder of the plastics recycling firm, will return in a consulting role. McCombs replaces Nigel Hunton, who has served as CEO since January 2012. MBA Polymers recycles plastics from large and complex post-consumer material streams.    

Recurrent Energy, a solar energy developer acquired by Canadian Solar earlier this year, added McCall Johnson as manager of government affairs. Before joining Recurrent Energy, Johnson served as an advisor to Chairman Donna Nelson at the Public Utility Commission of Texas. Previously, McCall represented nonprofit organizations at the Texas Legislature, the PUC, and the State Energy Conservation Office.

EnerNOC, a provider of "energy intelligence" software, added Gary Haroian to its board of directors. Haroian’s previous positions include CFO, COO, and CEO at Bowstreet, a provider of software application tools; SVP and CFO at Concord Communications, a network management software company; and CFO, COO, and CEO at Stratus Computer, a provider of continuous availability software and services.

Steve O'Rourke, the chief strategy officer and senior VP at SunEdison, sent out an email reporting that he will "be moving on from SunEdison in the coming days. He and his family "will be migrating to the Philippines later this month."

Oxford Photovoltaics founder Kevin Arthur has stepped down as CEO of the U.K.-based perovskite solar cells developer. The PV firm has raised more than $23 million in funding. Arthur is a director at Si-Light and former CEO of QuantaSol.

First Solar has shifted a number of positions in its C suite. According to a July 1 8-K filing, Georges Antoun, COO, was named president of the U.S. division, reporting to the CEO. Joseph Kishkill, CCO, was named president, international, reporting to the CEO. First Solar declined to comment on the personnel moves. GTM recently reported on First Solar's cadmium-telluride PV module efficiency record (18.6 percent) and CEO Jim Hughes' utility solar cost forecast ($1 per watt installed in 2017).

Energy storage system builder Alevo added Randell Johnson as its chief analyst. Johnson joins Alevo from Energy Exemplar and will be responsible for the firm's analytics platform.
