Panasonic Preps EV Charging Equipment for 2010 Release

Panasonic’s Elseev battery charger can be installed outdoors and is aimed at public facilities such as municipal offices and libraries.

Panasonic Electric Works Co. Ltd. announced that it is developing a battery charger with a 200V power outlet for electric vehicles (EVs) and will release it in June 2010.

The battery charger, "Elseev," can be installed outdoors and is aimed at public facilities such as municipal offices and libraries and parking areas of private companies. It is possible to add or replace a power outlet unit (100V or 200V) after installment of the charger.

The Elseev is structured like a controlling board and has dimensions of 280 (W) x 210 (D) x 1,600mm (H). It comes with one 200V outlet unit.
