Green Jobs: Siemens, AutoGrid, Alterra, Invenergy, Solexel and More

New executives and directors in utilities, cleantech, and alternative energy

The Supervisory Board of Siemens has named Lisa Davis, currently Royal Dutch Shell's EVP of Strategy, Portfolio and Alternative Energies, to the company's Managing Board, where she will be responsible for the Power and Gas Division, the Wind Power and Renewables Division, and the Power Generation Services Division. Siemens' Wind Power and Renewables Division has annual revenue of "roughly €5 billion," according to the company. Markus Tacke, CEO of the Wind Power division, has been appointed to the role of CEO of the new division.  

AutoGrid Systems named Dave Garcia as VP of Worldwide Field Operations for the data analytics and cloud computing software firm that targets the energy industry. Garcia was previously a VP of Sales at SAP and VP of Sales and Alliances for Datango. As noted in GTM's Grid Edge 20 list, "AutoGrid’s approach has earned the company partnerships with Schneider Electric, Silver Spring Networks, Japan’s NTT and strategic investment from E.ON, which led AutoGrid's $13 million series C earlier this year."

Invenergy, an independent power producer, hired Paul Turner as SVP of Sales and Marketing. Turner has held senior positions at PwC, Cornerstone Energy Advisors, Renergix Solar, Peoples Energy, and Hecate Energy. Invenergy has developed more than 8,000 megawatts of energy projects in operation, in construction, or under contract.

Alterra Power named Shannon Webber as General Counsel. Alterra Power is a renewable energy firm operating geothermal, wind and hydro power plants totaling 568 megawatts of generation capacity.

Peter Park is now Director of Business Applications at Solexel. Park previously served as a Senior Applications Engineer at MiaSolé.

International renewable energy consultancy Natural Power named Scott McDonald, formerly of AWS Truepower, as Head of Energy Assessments in North America. McDonald has more than twenty years of experience in wind resource assessment, modeling, due diligence and project development.  



Uday Mathur is now Principal in the Electrification and Electric Vehicles unit at PG&E.

Eguana Technologies (TSX Venture), a maker of power conversion and control systems for energy storage applications, named Sharon Penner as its CFO. 

Jon Wellinghoff, Partner at Stoel Rives and former FERC commissioner, joined the advisory board at building energy management firm Daintree Networks.

Peter Sheldon is now Director of Research Operations at NREL.
