With utilities facing an influx of distributed energy resources throughout North America, efforts to include these trends in integrated capacity plans are underway. However, it’s difficult to determine when, where, and in what capacity DERs will be adopted, resulting in very short-term approximations of what impacts these resources will have on the grid.
This webinar will introduce advanced analytical and simulation techniques based on probabilistic methods that can reduce forecast uncertainties and allow utilities to accurately build up integrated capacity plans containing cost-effective grid investments that reduce the risk of capacity constraints and stranded assets.
