Erik is the CEO of Leyline Renewable Capital, a renewable energy finance company. Previously he was CEO & Managing Director at Entropy Solar Integrators, part of York Capital Management, a large global hedge fund. Prior to joining Entropy he spent 8 years as the CEO and Founder of Argand Energy Solutions, a commercial and utility scale solar company. In 2014 he completed the successful sale of Argand to York Capital.
Erik is active in renewable energy advocacy, education, and advancement efforts and brings a sales, finance and management background to Leyline. He graduated from Radford University in 1992 with a BS in Business Administration and Marketing, and in 2005 he completed the rigorous Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) program at the Wharton Executive Education Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to entering the renewable energy industry in 2006 he spent 13 years in wealth management as a Vice President in the Investment Services Group at Bank of America, Vice President in the Private Client Group at Credit Suisse First Boston, and Vice President and Manager at Scott & Stringfellow, a regional wealth management firm.
In additional to his professional affiliations he sits on the Board of Visitors of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has been an active member of Vistage International for over 10 years.
He resides with his wife, Dr. Hendree Jones, a UNC professor, and their family in a solar-powered home in the rural hills outside Chapel Hill. He has two children, Ashley and Davis, and enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, fishing, kayaking, and playing squash.
