SolarCity named Brad Buss as its new CFO, replacing the retiring Bob Kelly. Buss served as Cypress Semiconductor's CFO from August 2005 through this June. Before that, he was VP of finance at Altera.

Robyn Denholm, CFO of Juniper Networks, has been added to Tesla Motors' board of directors and will assume Brad Buss' committee positions as he joins SolarCity as CFO. Tesla's board includes Elon Musk (chairman and CEO), Ira Ehrenpreis (Technology Partners), and Steve Jurvetson (DFJ).

SunEdison added Clayton C. Daley Jr., the former Vice Chairman and CFO of The Procter & Gamble Company, as a new independent member of its board of directors. SunEdison is a vertically integrated solar technology manufacturer and developer, financier and installer of distributed solar power.

Comverge, a provider of intelligent energy management, named David Neal as the firm's senior VP of sales and marketing. Most recently, Neal was the SVP, North America sales and operations at Space-Time Insight, and before that, Neal was senior VP sales, Americas at Ventyx, an ABB company.

Jörg Palm has been promoted to Director CTO at Avancis, the CIS thin-film solar manufacturer, according to his LinkedIn profile. He served as Senior Manager Process Development at the firm in the seven years prior. 

Ecobee, a smart thermostat firm, named Osama Arafat as co-CEO with fellow co-CEO Stuart Lombard. Prior to joining ecobee, Osama was the CEO of Q9 Networks, a company he led through IPO in 2004 and its $1.1 billion acquisition in 2012. 

Cambrian Innovation, a water and bioenergy technology firm, named Randy Ziffer as COO. Ziffer was most recently Senior VP of Operations at Columbia Tech, where he led manufacturing and distribution for large capital equipment projects.
