Danny Kennedy is leaving his post as Sungevity’s EVP to become the managing director of the California Clean Energy Fund. CalCEF started as an evergreen fund and has added a seed-stage fund and CalCharge, a battery breakthrough consortium. Kennedy co-founded Sungevity in 2007. Kennedy also co-founded SfunCube, an Oakland-basedsolarincubator and accelerator. 

Glenn Garland has stepped down as CEO and chairman of the board of CLEAResult, the country's biggest efficiency program administrator. EVP and co-founder Jim Stimmel will serve as CLEAResult's interim CEO and chairman of the board.  

Eguana Technologies, developing power conversion and control systems for distributed energy storage systems, has named Justin Holland to the position of CEO, replacing Michael Carten, who will continue to serve as a director of the firm. Holland was previously Eguana's COO.   

Henry Dziuba, formerly president of inverter builder SMA America, is now senior VP of commercial and industrial at solar developer Strata Solar.

Heather Sanders is now the principal manager of electric system planning, strategy and engagement at Southern California Edison. Sanders was most recently California ISO's director of regulatory affairs, distributed energy resources.

Clara Nagy was promoted to VP of sales at SunLink, a supplier of solar trackers, PV mounting, and combiner boxes.

Jeff Gates was promoted to VP of sales at Alevo, where he is responsible for energy storage project development.

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) selected Bill Magness as its next president and CEO. Magness, currently ERCOT's GC and senior VP for governance, risk and compliance, replaces Trip Doggett, who will retire in 2016.

SMA Solar Technology has called on Marko Wittich, the inverter firm’s current EVP of sales for the Americas, to also assume the president and GM roles for SMA’s U.S.-based arm. SMA is looking to increase its presence in Mexico, Chile and Brazil.
