He's a big man living in a big house. It's fitting that he gets a big solar system on his roof.

NBA legend (and NRG Home Solar spokesperson) Bill Walton just went solar on his residence in Southern California.

Here's what we know about the system: It's a 12-kilowatt rooftop power plant using Enphase microinverters, Unirac racking systems, roof mounts from Quick Mount PV and 43 solar panels from LG. Walton had told the installers that he wanted panels “everywhere."

Here's the video:

Bill Walton is a two-time NBA champion, two-time NBA All-Star, and NBA Hall of Fame inductee. He has been named as one of the 50 greatest NBA players of all time. Walton will speak at the 4th annual U.S. Solar Market Insight conference, taking place December 8-10, 2014 in San Diego, Calif.

Walton joins an all-star roster of speakers at Greentech Media’s U.S. Solar Market Insight conference, including representatives from SolarCity, Tesla Motors, SunEdison, Arizona Public Service, First Solar, AES Energy Storage, San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), SunPower, and Sunrun. Now in its fourth year, the U.S. Solar Market Insight conference is essential for anyone involved, or looking to get involved, in the U.S. solar industry. Based on more than five years of analysis of installation data, the event dissects cost trends, discusses the future of project finance and business models, and examines the potential of individual states and market segments. It is the only event exclusively underpinned by the Solar Market Insight report series produced by GTM Research and the Solar Energy Industries Association.
