S&C Electric announced a change in executive leadership. Kyle Seymour, on S&C’s board of directors since 2010, will succeed John Estey as President of the firm. Estey will remain as S&C’s Executive Chairman.

 

First Solar (Nasdaq: FSLR) named Tim Rebhorn as Senior VP, Project Development. Most recently, Rebhorn was CEO of Quail Nuclear Specialty Services, a construction firm supporting the nuclear power sector.

 

Sapphire Energy, developing algae-based green crude oil processes, named Tom Willardson as CFO. Willardson was previously CFO at Aurora Algae, Energy Recovery, and Cost Plus.

 

Green Plug, a maker of programmable mixed-signal controllers for the AC-DC power converter sector, named Kevin Jones to Chief Scientist and appointed semiconductor veteran Rajeev Prasad to succeed Jones as VP of Engineering.

 

MaxWest Environmental Systems, working in biogasification systems for wastewater treatment, named Steven D. Winchester as CEO. Winchester served in management roles in the water and wastewater divisions of Psomas and Black & Veatch. According to the firm, MaxWest runs the only commercially proven biosolids gasification facility in the U.S.
