Varentec, a Khosla Ventures- and Bill Gates-funded startup focused on distribution power grid control and management, named Mehrdod Mohseni as CCO. Mohseni was previously CEO of Utility Integration Solutions (UISOL).

Sungevity named Jan Slaghekke as chief global officer, a role responsible for managing the online solar sales company's expansion in markets outside the U.S., including its partnership with E.ON and entrance into the German market. Prior to joining Sungevity, Slaghekke held executive roles around the globe with BP.   

Michael Ludgate is now EVP of sales and marketing at distributed PV developer Standard Solar. Previously, Ludgate was VP of business development at microinverter supplier APS.

Solar finance platform Clean Power Finance promoted Shawn Tabak to CFO. Tabak was previously CPF's VP of finance.

Chris McDonald has joined thin-film PV startup Siva Power as COO. McDonald was previously VP of factory projects for Applied Materials' solar group.

Jesse Campbell was named CFO at wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon North America. Campbell most recently served in finance, strategy, and business development capacities at E.ON Climate and Renewables North America. 

Nexant, a provider of software and services for utilities, added Michael Alexander as VP of utility services. Prior to joining Nexant, Alexander was senior manager of evaluation, measurement and verification at PG&E, where his group was responsible for evaluating the utility's $800 million demand response and energy efficiency programs.    

Yury Reznikov is now VP of product and corporate development at NEXTracker. Reznikov was previously EVP of product and corporate development at SunLink.

FuelCell Energy, a maker of fuel cell power plants, appointed Natica von Althann to its board of directors. Von Althann has held senior executive roles at Bank of America and Citigroup and served as a board member of the PPL Corporation.

Jim Rogers, former CEO of Duke Energy, and Ron Binz, former chair of the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, have joined the Solar Electric Power Association's board of directors.

Jessica Super was promoted to president of ReneSola America, a manufacturer of solar and lighting products. Prior to joining ReneSola America as director of sales in 2013, Super was Southwest regional sales manager at Canadian Solar. Super is focused on ReneSola's recently launched LED lighting business in the U.S. According to a release, ReneSola America has been doubling its electrical distributor customer base every month under Super's leadership.
