Los Angeles – As Mexico embarks on a national strategy of major energy reform, a Los Angeles based solar company has become an early market leader with its High Concentrated Photovoltaic (HCPV) technology.

“Mexico’s reform plan and its need for cleaner, cost efficient and distributed energy has offered us a tremendous partnership opportunity,” explained Randall H. Roth, CEO of CSDR International, Inc.

Roth said the company hosted a high-level Mexican solar delegation in November, introducing the HCPV technology. In December Mexico passed energy market reform legislation that heightened interest in solar power and accelerated CSDR’s entry into the market. The reforms require 35 percent of the electricity generated in Mexico be from renewable sources by 2024.

CSDR has now signed solar development agreements throughout Mexico, adding customers in the states of Sinaloa, Guanajuato, Jalisco and Sonora. The already signed agreements are for 100 megawatts at six sites, and the company is finalizing agreements for an additional 60 megawatts.

Roth described the growing Mexico customer base which includes municipalities, manufacturing interests and major commercial/industrial consumers. “We are working overtime to keep pace with the demand,” Roth said. “We now have Mexican employees and office space in Guadalajara, and we expect these partnerships to continue and expand.”

CSDR International, Inc. is a California-based manufacturer of turnkey utility-scale solar power systems utilizing High Concentrated Photovoltaic technology (HCPV). The firm was founded to generate the most cost-effective and reliable energy in the world. CSDR’s success is driven by first-rate engineering innovation and continuous research and development in all aspects of the energy system.
