It's sustainable, unique and is made of materials that were sat on quite a bit.

Katherine Bamford, a San Francisco filmmaker, here shows off a purse from Freitag, a Swiss company that specializes in fashion products from discarded materials. (Freitag means "Friday" or "cold lunch meats left" in German. I forget.) This one is made from the seats of old delivery vans. Each purse is different and they also have items like glasses cases. etc. It costs over $200, but I am told that is not in the troposphere when it comes to purses. Expect to see a lot of stuff like this as corporate giveaways in the future. It is the kind of thing that gets people talking.

The next step for these guys will be to move into hard shell security briefcases made from discarded beer cans. Those briefcases are one of the best things you can buy in Senegal.
