This list is remarkable; every deal is over $100 million and all of these deals are solar technologies in every flavor, except for the Range Fuels cellulosic ethanol-financing round.

It’s been a remarkable year for VC in Greentech so far, and the fourth quarter will be a harbinger, giving an indication of the strength of this investor sector in the face of difficult market forces. Solyndra is still looking for $350 million to finance its innovative CIGS capacity expansion. And we might yet see large rounds in the fourth quarter for the remaining thin-film solar firms like Heliovolt and Global Solar.
