Previous to this, Dan was with Remmele Engineering Inc. for 16 years, starting as a System Control Engineering and spending his last 7 years as a Project Manager, leading a department of engineers and program managers in the design and build of customer automation systems in the diagnostic, pharmaceutical, and consumer products industries. Dan earned his BSEE from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from University of Saint Thomas, MN.
Manager, Technical Sales Support, SMA America, LLC
Verena Arps is the Technical Sales Support Manager for SMA America, LLC, the North American arm of global solar inverter leader SMA Solar Technology AG. Currently, she supports customers directly through assistance with technical inquires and system design for residential, commercial and utility applications. As the global interface for SMA America products, Arps is a key voice in the technical development and deployment of both Sunny Boy and Sunny Central inverters.>
Previous to working for the U.S. subsidiary, Arps worked for SMA Solar Technology in Germany as the product manager responsible for the U.S. version of the popular Sunny Boy inverter. With experience in both Germany and the U.S., Arps brings a unique, global view of product development and deployment, as well as an intricate understanding of how inverters currently integrate with public utility grids in both Europe and the U.S.
Arps received an electrical engineering degree, with a focus on energy management from the University of Applied Sciences in Kiel, Germany.

Dr. Terry Bailey is an experienced management executive and solar industry veteran serving as president, chairman and CEO of Soliant Energy. Dr. Bailey joined Soliant Energy in October of 2009 after serving for over five years as senior vice president, marketing and sales for publicly-held Evergreen Solar (NASDAQ:ESLR).
Prior to Evergreen, Dr. Bailey was vice president of marketing and sales for leading solar technology supplier AstroPower, Inc., which was acquired by GE (NYSE:GE). Dr. Bailey served as CEO of Solus Micro Technologies, a telecommunication startup, prior to joining the solar industry.
Previously, Dr. Bailey was executive vice president and Chief Operating Officer of NEC Technologies, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of NEC. Prior to NEC, Dr. Bailey was senior vice president and general manager for Apple's Imaging Division. In this position, he had worldwide P&L responsibility for all of Apple's Imaging Products, which generated over $1 billion in annual revenues.
Dr. Bailey earned a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Florida State University, specializing in nuclear magnetic resonance research and computer system graphics integration. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Alabama.

Chief Commercial Officer, Suntech Power Holdings
Andrew joined Suntech in the fall of 2008 when his company, EI Solutions was acquired by Suntech Power Holdings. Previous to the acquisition, Andrew grew EI Solutions from a 3-person installer to a major regional player supporting customers such as Google, Disney, Sony Pictures, and British Telecom. The 2MW installation at Google's world headquarters is the largest corporate installation in US history. Andrew has been honored for his work by groups like Global Green, and the California League of Conservation Voters with its "Environmental Leadership" Award. Before leading EI Solutions, Andrew helped found the high-concentration PV company, Energy Innovations with Bill Gross at Idealab in 2002.
Previously, Andrew was a partner with the clean-tech consulting firm Clean Edge, where he served as an advisor to investors and early-stage companies working on a range of renewable technologies including solar, wind power, hydrogen and biomass.
In 1998, Andrew co-founded Bigstep, one of the world's first small business e-commerce solutions available online. As CEO, Andrew led the company in building an award-winning service, raising over $60 million from top-tier venture firms, hiring over 150 talented employees, and developing partnerships with such leading companies as AOL, VeriSign, Oxygen and Compaq. After achieving profitability with over 9,000 paying customers, Bigstep was acquired by Affinity Internet, Inc.
Andrew has served on the boards of the Clean Economy Network, Global Green and The Apollo Alliance. He is one of the founders of the CEO Council for the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE). He is a graduate of Dartmouth College with a BA in Government.

Felicia Bellows has more than 25 years of experience in Energy Development and has spent 15 years working in Energy in Latin America. Most recently she was Executive Vice President of Development for Econergy where she developed wind, biomass and small hydroelectric plants in Brazil and Chile. Prior to that she was President, Alliant Energy Holdings do Brazil and Managing Director, Latin America, Alliant Energy International where she successfully developed and operated thermal power, hydroelectric power, and T&D systems. She also worked at The Southern Company as President, Southern Energy do Brazil and Director of Finance & Project Manager, Southern Energy where she was active in both acquisitions and developed Greenfield thermal assets. Felicia has worked on projects/transactions ranging in size from $20million to $1billion. These projects have included Greenfield developments as well as acquisitions although even in the acquisitions, additional development/build-out was involved. The projects included generation using various technologies such as wind, solar, hydro, biomass and more conventional coal and gas-fired generation; transmission; distribution and some instances of a fully integrated system. She holds a BS from Georgia Tech and is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Greek.

Travis Bradford founded the Prometheus Institute for Sustainable Development, a nonprofit organization focused on harnessing the power of the business sector to develop cost-effective and sustainable solutions in technologies, including energy, water, food, and recycling. Bradford also founded Atlas Capital Investments, LP, a global hedge fund dedicated to investing in sustainable technology companies in energy, water, food, and materials. Previously, he has served as a deal partner at Steel Partners II, LLC, in New York; deal principal at the Holding Capital Group in New York; and statistical and financial analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta.
Since 2008, Bradford has been a professor of renewable energy for MBA students at University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, and has lectured on finance, entrepreneurship, and alternative energy economics to a wide audience including many of the world’s top institutions. His published works include Solar Revolution: The Economic Transformation of the Global Energy Industry, published by the MIT Press.
Bradford earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Georgia State University in 1992 and an MBA in 1996 from the NYU Stern School of Business with distinction in finance, management, and international business. In 2006, he received a master's degree in public administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Broome also designed the Arizona Global Network, a collaborative model that unites the urban and rural markets of Greater Phoenix, Tucson, Flagstaff and Yuma in attracting foreign direct investment to Arizona. GPEC’s international focus has led to foreign direct investment wins for Greater Phoenix, most notably the attraction of China-based Suntech—the world's largest producer of solar panels. Prior to GPEC, Broome was shaping Kalamazoo, Michigan’s economy through a university, life science and venture capital strategy. Broome founded Southwest Michigan First from a small metal desk at the regional Chamber of Commerce, with a $150,000 operating budget and a $1.7
million shortfall. Five years later, Broome had raised $55 million and earned the organization recognition as a Top 20 economic development agency in the country. Also honored as Michigan’s Economic Developer of the Year, Broome built the Southwest Michigan Innovation Center, launching 14 life science start-ups and 23 new ventures.

Adam is the co-founder and Executive Director of the Vote Solar Initiative, a non-profit organization with the mission of bringing solar energy into the mainstream. Vote Solar got its start with a successful ballot initiative for a $100 million solar revenue bond in San Francisco in 2001, and since then has been working with state and municipal governments on pro-solar policies with the goal of jumpstarting the national transition to renewable energy.
Prior to Vote Solar, Adam spent eight years with the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency’s San Francisco office, where he won the Agency’s top pollution prevention award for developing a program that reduced air emissions of mercury from gold mines in Nevada by over five tons annually.

Dave Bruns is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Veeco’s Solar Group. Dave joined CVC, Inc. in September 1999 and joined Veeco through our acquisition of CVC in 2000. During his tenure at Veeco, Dave has held a variety of roles in sales, marketing and general management for our Data Storage and Process Equipment businesses. Since July 2007, he was Vice President and General Manager of the Asia-Pacific Region based in Singapore. Don Buchalski is a Senior Marketing Specialist for the Photovoltaic Industry within Dow Corning's Solar Business. Based at Dow Corning's Solar Solutions Application Center in Freeland, Michigan, he is responsible for defining and leading the implementation of Dow Corning's commercial and marketing strategies for the PV Module Assembly & Integration Segments.
Don joined Dow Corning in 1986 as a process design engineer. Since then, he has held a number of positions in process engineering, manufacturing, supply chain logistics and marketing. He took on the strategic marketing responsibility for photovoltaics in 2007.
Don received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1986 and his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan – Flint in 1991.

Barry Cinnamon is a long-time advocate of solar power and is a widely recognized solar power expert. Mr. Cinnamon started his career in solar energy in the late 1970’s as a researcher into new flat plate and concentrating collector designs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). During the late 1970s and early 1980s, he designed and installed active solar, passive solar and ground coupled heat pump systems.
Mr. Cinnamon’s work in solar power computer modeling led him into the software industry, where he served as CEO of Software Publishing Corporation, and founded Allegro New Media a multimedia software publisher, which he led to an IPO in 1995. He resumed his solar career in 2001 when he began installing rooftop solar power systems in California. His work on reducing costs of rooftop solar power systems has led to over 25 issued or applied for patents held by Westinghouse Solar.

Karlynn Cory is a member of the Market and Policy Impact Analysis Group in the Strategic Energy Analysis Center. Mark Crowley is the CEO of SolFocus, and a member of the company's Board of Directors. He joined SolFocus in 2008 as the President, and was promoted to CEO in December of that year. Mark has responsibility for all of SolFocus' business and operations globally. Mark joined SolFocus from Lockheed Martin Space Systems where he was VP of West Coast Operations. Troy was hired by Upsolar in 2009 to open the company’s North American Headquarters and launch the U.S. based subsidiary, Upsolar America, Inc. He’s responsible for the company’s strategic growth in the North American PV market, with a primary focus on strategic partnerships, project development and module supply into large distributed generation and utility-scale PV projects. Tom Dyer has devoted the majority of his life to developing and commercializing solar photovoltaic (PV) energy systems.
He entered the field in the early 1970s with a company that developed solar technologies for the U.S. space program, where he gained expertise in solar industry standards relating to cell fabrication, module packaging, system specification and sizing.
In 1977 he joined the solar energy subsidiary of a major petroleum company, holding management and executive-level positions in solar applications engineering, manufacturing, and business development. He served as vice president of international sales and marketing as the unit became the world's largest photovoltaic company of the late 1980s.
In 1990 he established a private solar energy consultancy to offer his expertise in photovoltaic systems integration and engineering to an international clientele.
Work with Photocomm Inc. (subsequently Golden Genesis Corp.) in the mid-1990s led to his present executive role with Kyocera, after Kyocera acquired Golden Genesis in 1999. Prior to his current responsibilities, he served as Kyocera Solar, Inc.'s vice president of operations, vice president of manufacturing and engineering, and vice president of sales and marketing.
In addition to his role at Kyocera, Tom Dyer serves as a director of the non-profit Solar Electric Power Association (which facilitates solutions for the use and integration of solar electric power by utilities, electric service providers, and their customers); board member of the Solar Alliance (a state-based advocacy group of companies involved in the design, manufacture, construction and financing of PV systems); and is also a board member of the Solar Energy Industries Association (the national U.S. trade association for the solar industry).

Lee Feliciano is Executive Vice-President of CarbonFree Technology, a solar energy project developer active in the U.S. and Canada. Lee led the team responsible for developing the first commercial solar installations in Arizona that were enabled through a Solar Services Agreement (SSA) or PPA.
Since 2004, Lee has worked in the solar PV industry in installation, inspection, sales and project development roles. He is a frequent speaker on the topic of solar energy at Green Building and Solar events and never misses an opportunity to act as a solar educator.

Stephen M. Goodnick received the B.S. degree in engineering science from Trinity University, San Antonio, TX, in 1977, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, in 1979 and 1983, respectively.
He was an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow with the Technical University of Munich, Munich, Germany, and the University of Modena, Modena, Italy, in 1985 and 1986, respectively. He was a faculty member from 1986 to 1997 with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon, and served as Chair and Professor of Electrical Engineering with Arizona State University, Tempe, from 1996 to 2005. He served as Deputy Dean for the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering during 2005-2006, served as Associate Vice President for Research for Arizona State University from 2006-2008, and currently is Director of the Arizona Initiative for Renewable Energy. Tom Plant is the Director of the Governor’s Energy Office and was appointed by Governor Bill Ritter in 2007. Prior to GEO, Tom was Executive Director of the non-profit Center for ReSource Conservation and served in the Colorado House of Representatives from 1998 through 2006 including two years as Chairman of the House Appropriations committee and one year as Chairman of the Joint Budget Committee.
During his tenure in the General Assembly, Tom was named Legislator of the Year by organizations such as the University of Colorado and the Sierra Club of Colorado, was the recipient of Colorado Conservation Voters’ “Green Sense Award for Environmental Leadership” and received the “Champion of the Family Farmer” award from the Rocky Mountain Farmers’ Union. In 1994, Tom and his wife Dawn Dennison established The Acoustic Coffeehouse in Nederland which became known nationally as a community gathering place and for the many famous musicians who played in the small living room setting. Tom & Dawn ran the coffeehouse for seven years, before selling the business in 2001. Tom lives in Nederland with his wife Dawn, dog Fergus, and a horse named Chester.

Ms. Ramsay is the Consul (Economic Affairs - Ontario) at the Ontario International Marketing Centre (OIMC) in the Canadian Consulate General in Los Angeles. The International Marketing Centre's territory includes California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada and Hawaii. The role of the OIMC is to work with Ontario based companies wishing to do business in the territory, to attract investment from US and multinational companies into Ontario and to raise awareness of the Province in the region.

Richard Robertson is the program manager for inverters at GE's Solar business - a position that he has held since 2007. In this role, Richard has overseen the commercial and technical development of GE's large-scale solar inverters, building off of the proven platform of GE's wind energy power electronics.
Prior to his current role, Richard held a number of positions in the alternative energy industry with a focus on business development, marketing and sales. Marc has been employed at TEP for five years holding a couple of different positions including Transmission and Distribution Project Management and Supervision of Operations Technology and Resource Management. Singleton oversees research and development projects to support company-wide initiatives for SRP including gasoline lawn mower recycling, tree planting, clean school bus initiative, travel reduction, and other internal environmental programs.
