Rolf Bernhard has initiated the development of the new strategic business field Solar Thermal Power Plants within MAN Ferrostaal Power Industry GmbH. He is currently also advising Solar Power Group GmbH, one of MAN Ferrostaal’s technology partners.
Born in 1948 he holds a masters degree in mechanical engineering. He is married and has three grown-up children.
During his latter professional life he was globally active in sales and project development in various managerial positions with MAN Ferrostaal AG and Thyssen Rheinstahl Technik GmbH. Before, his activities include, i.a. industrial engineering for the chemical, petrochemical, nuclear and conventional power industry with Lummus (today ABB Lummus), Fluor (today Fluor Daniel) and other companies.
Founder, President, and Director, The Prometheus Institute for Sustainable Development
Travis Bradford founded the Prometheus Institute for Sustainable Development, a nonprofit organization focused on harnessing the power of the business sector to develop cost-effective and sustainable solutions in technologies, including energy, water, food, and recycling. Bradford also founded Atlas Capital Investments, LP, a global hedge fund dedicated to investing in sustainable technology companies in energy, water, food, and materials. Previously, he has served as a deal partner at Steel Partners II, LLC, in New York; deal principal at the Holding Capital Group in New York; and statistical and financial analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta.
Since 2008, Bradford has been a professor of renewable energy for MBA students at University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, and has lectured on finance, entrepreneurship, and alternative energy economics to a wide audience including many of the world’s top institutions. His published works include Solar Revolution: The Economic Transformation of the Global Energy Industry, published by the MIT Press.
Bradford earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Georgia State University in 1992 and an MBA in 1996 from the NYU Stern School of Business with distinction in finance, management, and international business. In 2006, he received a master's degree in public administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Managing Director, SCHOTT Solar CSP GmbH
Christoph Fark, born 1970, is managing director of SCHOTT Solar CSP GmbH since May 2008. In 2003 he joined SCHOTT and previous to his call to the management board he managed the functions of sales and marketing Solar Thermal first at SCHOTT Rohrglas GmbH and later at SCHOTT Solar CSP GmbH.
Previous to his function at SCHOTT, Christoph Fark worked on international scale at Kermi GmbH in different sales positions, among them in Italy and France. Lastly he fulfilled the function as Regional Sales Manager for South and West Europe.
Christoph Fark studied engineering at the university of applied sciences in Aachen, where he graduated in 1995 to be engineer. In the following he successfully completed postgraduate studies of International Business Relations with focusing on International Business and Management at the university of applied sciences in Nürtingen and graduated additionally in industrial engineering.

Dr. Michael Geyer obtained his Physics Diploma at the University of Tübingen in 1981 and holds a Ph. D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Essen. Since 1981 his professional activities have been dedicated to the development of renewable energy systems with special emphasis on solar power plant technologies, including positions as researcher and deputy director at the German Aerospace Agency (DLR) departments in Stuttgart and the Plataforma Solar de Almeria in Spain (1981-1989), Manager for System Engineering, Research and Development at Flachglas Solartechnik and ABB (1989-1993), Professor for Energy-, Power Plant Technology and Process Technology at the Polytechnic University of Regensburg (1993-1995) and Head of DLR's Division at the Plataforma Solar de Almeria in Spain from 1995 until 2001. From 2001 until 2007 he was responsible for the solar thermal project development of the AndaSol projects of the Solar Millennium Group in Spain. Since April 2007 he is the Director for International Business Development of Abengoa Solar S.A., the solar division of the Spanish Abengoa group. From September 2000 until March 2008 he served as the Executive Secretary of the IEA SolarPACES Implementing Agreement, which represents the international Solar Thermal Community of R&D institutions. Since November 2007 he has been elected Vice-President of the European Solar Thermal Electricity Association ESTELA. He is author or co-author of more than 60 publications in the mentioned fields, including technical books, journals, conference papers, studies and reports.

Dr. Andreas Gombert is the Chief Technical Officer at Concentrix Solar. He is a graduated photo engineer and has a diploma in advanced studies of optics. He received his PhD at the University Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg, France, and habilitated at the faculty of Applied Sciences at the Albert-Ludwigs University Freiburg in micro system technologies. He has 12 years of experience in management of industrial R&D projects at Fraunhofer ISE and was the head of the department "Materials research and applied optics". In sum, he has more than 20 years international research experience in the areas of solar energy systems and applied optics. At Concentrix Solar he is responsible for research, development and technology.

Werner Klaus is Senior Advisor Renewable Energies, Lahmeyer International GmbH and since 2004 working mainly on solar power generation projects. In this function he carried out numerous assignments mainly in Africa, Latin America and Middle-East.
His professional experience spans over 15 years of research, engineering and consultancy in the field of solar power generation, energy efficiency, rural electrification and enabling framework conditions for renewable energies.
Werner Klaus has graduated in Physics (Diplom i.e. German Master equivalent) at the University of Göttingen.

Since 2003 Mr. Koll has been the Head of Project Development and Sales of Energy and Environmental Technology at KAM where he is responsible for sales, projects and product development of solar thermal plants. Before joining KAM Mr. Koll was a sales representative, project developer and project planner of large sized cogeneration units and wind energy plants with several years of international experience in South America.
Mr. Koll received a MBA in Industrial Marketing and Technical Sales in 2005 and earned his master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Karlsruhe.

Gabriel Morin has been working in the field of CSP with Fraunhofer ISE since 2002, since 2008, he has been the coordinator of market area Solar Power Plants at Fraunhofer ISE. His areas of expertise are evaluation, simulation and optimization of CSP power plants and solar collectors technologies. Since 2004, he has worked as a project manager in component development for linear Fresnel collectors, in consulting, technology studies and software development for techno-economic plant optimization for CSP.

Prof. Müller-Steinhagen is the director of the Institute of Technical Thermodynamics of the German Aerospace Centre and the director of the Institute for Thermodynamics and Thermal Engineering of the University of Stuttgart. His research work coverers a wide range of topics related to heat and mass transfer, multi-phase flow, fuel cells, solar technology and process thermodynamics. Prof. Müller-Steinhagen is the author of more than 500 books and articles, and was awarded the 1992 and 1993 TMS Bauxite Processing Awards, the 1994 Light Metals Award, the Beilby Medal and Prize, the UK Heat Transfer Society Mike Akrill Trophy and the Best Paper 2000 in the Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, President of EUROTHERM and of the IMDEA Board of Trustees, member of the Executive Boards of EUREC and ICHMT, member of the Innovation Council of the Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg, and of the Advisory Boards of PSI and ZSW.

Ms. Rosa Tarragó is Project Manager at the Power, Renewables and Water department of KfW IPEX and is working in the renewable energy business since more than 10 years now. Previously, she was working at the Center of Competence for Renewable Energies of Commerzbank in Hamburg. Before, she worked for an engineering consulting company, having assignments in West and Eastern Europe as well as in Africa and Arab Countries. She also worked for Breeze Two, the largest European bond financing a portfolio of about 40 windfarms. She has a double degree in financial engineering and in business economics and administration having studied at the Technical University of Karlsruhe (Germany), at Copenhagen Business School (Denmark) and at the University of Barcelona (Spain).

Daniel Englander heads GTM Research's downstream markets practice. His expertise covers utility regulation and economics, renewable energy project development and project finance, and energy policy, with a specific emphasis on solar power. Daniel has experience in international investment due diligence and the financial and regulatory issues relating to renewable energy market entry.
