Travis Bradford

Founder, President, and Director, Prometheus Institute for Sustainable Development

Travis founded the Prometheus Institute in 2003 as a means to connect the vast reach and power of industrial and capital markets with the technologies necessary to sustain and develop long-term economic well-being for people around the world. Travis is currently the Editor-in-Chief of PVNews, the solar energy industry's oldest newsletter, and is the author of Solar Revolution: The Economic Transformation of the Global Energy Industry published by MIT Press. He is also a partner at Atlas Capital, a hedge fund based in Cambridge, MA.

Eric Wesoff

Prior to joining Greentech Media, Eric Wesoff founded Sage Marketing Partners in 2000 to provide sales and marketing-consulting services to venture-capital firms and their portfolio companies in the alternative energy and telecommunications sectors. Mr. Wesoff has become a well-known, respected authority and speaker in these fields. He also was the publisher of the Venture Power newsletter, a subscription-only newsletter covering venture-capital investment in renewable energy.

Eric's expertise covers solar power, fuel cells, biofuels and advanced batteries. His strengths are in market research and analysis, business development and due diligence for investors. He frequently consults for energy startups and Silicon Valley's premier venture capitalists.

Rob Day

Principal, @Ventures

Rob Day joined @Ventures in 2007, and operates out of the firm's Boston-area office. He currently holds an observer seat on the board of directors of Powerit Holdings, Inc. Prior to joining the @Ventures team, Rob was an investor with Expansion Capital Partners for over two years, where he was an investment principal responsible for various aspects of that firm's clean technology venture capital activities, including investments in Tiger Optics, SensorTran, Orion Energy Systems, and World Energy Labs.

Matt Ferguson is a principal and the National Renewable Energy Services Practice leader with Reznick Group, a national accounting, tax and business advisory services firm ranked among the top 20 firms in the US. A seasoned professional in promoting renewable energy through business transactions and policy development, Matt is responsible for developing this practice which includes advising clients on energy-related transactions including matching renewable projects with tax equity investors, raising capital, mergers and acquisitions within the renewable energy sector, and maximizing public policy to promote and reward low-carbon solutions as well as helping with energy tax credit financing with current clients. Matt is an attorney having earned his JD from Georgia State University of Law and holds a bachelor's degree in financial management and marketing from Franklin Pierce College in New Hampshire. He serves on the Board of Directors of Art Papers and he is a member of the District of Columbia, Georgia and New York Bar Associations.

Jesse Grossman

CEO and Co-founder, Soltage

Jesse Grossman co-founded Soltage and has served as the company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since the company's founding in October 2005. Jesse has formal training in emerging markets, physical science and business development. Prior to co-founding Soltage Mr. Grossman worked in venture development and management, project finance, marketing, and resource use strategies in diverse locals including East Africa, Indonesia, as well as the East and West Coasts of the continental USA. Jesse has worked with energy demand management, solar, as well as wind companies and project developers and has developed and managed projects for the USAID, USGS, and the Carnegie Mellon Foundation. He has an undergraduate degree in Biology from Carleton College and a Graduate Degree in Environmental Science from Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies with Business Development certification from Yale's MacMillan Center. Mr. Grossman speaks four languages and is a published author and speaker in the field of emerging markets and renewable energy.

Jon Guice, PhD

Jon Guice is a partner at AltaTerra, the research and advisory services firm helping organizations identify and capitalize on opportunities to deliver more efficient, environmentally sustainable products and operations. Previously Dr. Guice co-founded the premier clean technology design engineering consultancy, building a loyal client base of top-tier venture-backed startups and established companies such as SunPower Corporation (Nasdaq:SPWR). Earlier he had served in leadership and strategy roles in an early-stage renewable energy company, a 200-person NASA R&D organization and a new product research program at Stanford University and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Jon Guice earned a doctorate in the first-ranked science and technology studies program at the University of California, San Diego, and has spoken and published widely on global industry trends, organizational change and product innovation.

David Kirkpatrick

David Kirkpatrick is Managing Director and co-founder of SJF Ventures, a venture capital fund with $45 million under management and offices in Durham, NC and New York. David was named the national 2005 CDVC Practitioner of the Year by the Community Development Venture Capital Alliance. Previous to SJF, he founded and managed two other successful enterprises - KirkWorks, an environmental investment research firm, and SunShares, a solar energy and recycling company. David was named Recycler of the Year in 1996, the National Recycling Coalition's award for leadership in the recycling industry. David earned a BA in Physics and History from Duke University in 1982 and an MBA from UNC Business School in 1991. He is a graduate of the Venture Capital Institute's VCI 1999 and VCI-Grad 2000 programs. He serves on the Boards of groSolar, B.B.
