Many kudos to Greentech Media on turning one year old this week! Impressive progress in such a short time...
Only a few deals this past week:

International Water-Guard Industries, a BC-based developer of systems for the treatment of water on airplanes, has taken in a C$500k private placement (the company is traded on the TSX Venture exchange). Pender Growth Fund provided C$350k of the financing.
Eco-Products, a manufacturer of biodegradable cutlery, etc., has raised a $2mm Series A from Greenmont Capital Partners.
Natrix Separations, a developer of separation products with some apparently water-related applications, has raised a $19mm Series B led by DE Shaw and included existing investors the Canadian Medical Discoveries Fund, managed by JovInvestment Management, part of Jovian Capital Corporation, and the venture capital arm of the Business Development Bank of Canada, BDC Venture Capital.
Cleantech investors in the news: EnerTech Capital has closed their third fund at $88mm, according to Jonathan Shieber at VentureWire.
