- In the catchiest-named deal so far this year, Cleantech Invest AG announced an investment in En-tech Energietechnikproduktion GmbH (Austria). En-tech Energietechnikproduktion GmbH is developing pellet-fueled heating systems. Stay tuned for future developments from En-tech Energietechnikproduktion GmbH, I'm sure.
- Innovalight took in $5mm in equipment lease financing from ATEL Ventures.
- Smart metering vendor Eka Systems took in an $18.5mm Series D led by Flybridge Capital Partners, and including returning investors RockPort, The Westly Group, and Metropolitan Investments.
- German solar developer Sulfurcell raised an EUR 85mm round of financing. Intel Capital provided EUR 24mm, Climate Change Capital Private Equity, AIG, Demeter Partners, Zouk Ventures and Bank Invest provided another 38mm, and the remainder came from existing investors.
- Naturally Advanced Technologies announced an approximately $2mm private placement in conjunction with their listing on the Toronto Venture Exchange.
