2012 was a tumultuous year for solar in the U.S. marked by a trade battle with China, bankruptcies in the manufacturing sector, and political attacks. But amidst it all, the industry saw 76 percent growth, putting 3,313 megawatts of solar PV projects on-line around the U.S.
