The ClimateWorks Foundation named Julie Blunden, a longtime SunPower VP, as CEO. The climate change advocacy group founded by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, and the McKnight Foundation invests in initiatives that support carbon emission reduction policies.

 

Marc van den Berg, a Partner at VantagePoint Capital Partners, is leaving Alan Salzman's VC firm to join a smaller cleantech venture investor. Van den Berg currently serves on the board of Switch Lighting and Bridgelux.

 

MiaSolé, the CIGS thin-film solar aspirant, has added Preetha Nair as Country Manager, India. According to the firm, MiaSolé has 8 megawatts of solar projects in India completed or under construction.


 

MIOX, focused on water disinfection technology, promoted Craig Beckman to president. The firm makes onsite water purification systems for gray water remediation, water recycling, and oil and gas water disinfection.



FlexEnergy builds gas micro-turbines powered by methane or natural gas and just named Jay Mitchell as CEO. The company closed $5 million from the Louisiana Sustainability Fund in January and raised $13 million in December of last year from SAIL Capital and RNS Capital. Mitchell replaces Joseph Z. Perry.
