On Friday, a Tesla-owning couple from New York took out a full-page ad in the Palo Alto Daily News to publicly suggest changes to future models of the car.

The customers (who each own a Tesla) asked Musk for a wide range of alterations, including better blind-spot monitors, a better touchscreen for managing phone calls, an automated power-charging cap and a new placement for the cup holder.

On Saturday, Elon Musk took to Twitter to show his support for the ideas. This tweet from Musk includes a link to the open letter and the CEO's reaction:

Fans and customers praised Musk's reaction. The response below captures the overarching sentiment well. Some people might not agree with Musk's vision, but there's no doubt he's an extraordinarily unique CEO. Would any car executive respond to customer ideas so quickly and openly? For that matter, there are probably very few auto companies with customers who feel they could actually get their ideas heard.
