Joseph Matamoros, most recently the VP of commercial operations at energy storage startup Stem, is now the principal for utility services at microinverter, energy storage, O&M, utility and energy services company Enphase Energy. Last month, Canadian Solar acquired project developer Recurrent Energy from Sharp for $265 million. This month, Recurrent's founder and CEO Arno Harris announced that he is leaving the firm and taking some time off, according to Bloomberg. Harris will be replaced by the COO of Recurrent, David Brochu.

Julie Blunden has joined SunEdison as SVP and Chief Strategy Officer. Blunden was formerly CEO of ClimateWorks and executive VP at SunPower.

Tenaska named Tim Hemig as managing director of distributed solar investments. Previously, Hemig led origination and development of more than 1 gigawatt of utility-scale solar and natural gas-fueled projects while at NRG, according to a release. Tenaska is an independent power producer with approximately 9,000 megawatts of electric generating capacity across the U.S., much of it powered by natural gas.

Mark Trout joined residential solar provider Vivint Solar as CIO. Previously, Trout was CIO and head of product development at eBay Enterprise. Vivint Solar is the second-largest residential solar installer in the U.S.

Fuel-cell power provider Plug Power named Marty Hull as chief accounting officer. Previously, Hull was a director at the accounting firm of Marvin and Company, and before that, an audit partner at KPMG. 

Brad Barton, former director of commercialization and deployment at the
 U.S. DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, joined Enovation Partners as a principal. Most recently, Barton was a principal at NGP Energy Technology Partners. Ronald Bertasi, former Southern Company and private equity executive, joined Enovation Partners as an affiliate director. Enovation Partners is an energy and infrastructure consultancy.

Billy J. Stanbery, previously CEO of HelioVolt, has joined Siva Power as president. Siva Power is aiming to develop "a solar factory for the 'gigawatt era' that will produce solar panels at unprecedented scale and the lowest production cost." Siva, with Brad Mattson at the helm and funding from DBL Investors, has assembled a "who's who" of CIGS experts to address this challenge. 

The Southern California operations of Verengo Solar (Northeast operations of Verengo were acquired by NRG) named Anders Dahl as CEO. Dahl most recently served as the president of U.S. Tech Support and Own Your Own Direct subsidiaries of Guthy-Renker, a direct marketing firm. According to the LA Business Journal, "Co-founders Randy Bishop and Ken Button -- chief executive and president, respectively -- are leaving the company to pursue other ventures." Verengo had sales of $116 million in 2013.

Coronal Group, a solar project financier and operator, announced that Jonathan Jaffrey will step into the role of chairman and CEO and that Edwin Feo will assume the position of president. In February, Coronal Group acquired utility-scale solar project developer HelioSage Energy, adding a 320-megawatt (AC) contracted pipeline of projects to the Coronal stable.
